Meet Our Parents

Since our adult pigs are members of our family, we love and give them the best care possible.  We keep our adult pigs outside in a beautiful fenced in area; and the building is heated in the winter and stays very cool in the summer.  They are fed a balanced, healthy diet and given attention everyday.

All of our pig parents have been with us since they were 8 weeks old; and we started them off in the house so we could bond with them and discover their personalities.  Today, we still have special relationships with each of them and they enjoy their time with us.

The mothers are brought into our house in a clean, safe area to give birth, stay with their piglets for seven weeks and then begin to wean slowly.

We are proud to be registered with the American Mini Pig Association and happily adhere closely to their code of ethics.

Meet the Piglets

Cash

Date of Birth: January 7, 2020

Cash was born here to Dolly, a sow that we rescued. We did not know that she was pregnant, so he was a complete surprise. He is the only surviving piglet from his litter. The whole thing was a fiasco. Dolly was not a good mother and she kept trying to attack him. The only way she would let him nurse was if I sat next to her and gave her a belly rub. This lasted for three weeks. After that, she refused to come back in the house. I hand raised him after that. Cash has the sweetest, kindest personality. He loves people and loves belly rubs. He is a huge favorite around here and by all who meet him. Cash is not full grown. He will continue to grow until around 5 years old.

Priscilla Presley

Date of Birth: September 1, 2016

Priscilla is our diva! She has a strong opinion about everything and lets us know it. She is also a fantastic mother and cares very tenderly for her piglets. She knows her name and comes when I call her. She enjoys being outside on warm days and loves to lie in the sun. She is a kind and friendly pig. Priscilla loves Axle and will walk through fire to get to him. She prefers to be housed with him or Loretta Lynn to any other pigs. She is beautiful and tends to have a variety of piglet colors ranging from white to spotted and black.

Axle

Date of Birth: May 1, 2017

Axle has a very sweet temperament. He loves people and runs to give kisses and affection to everyone. He does his job well and passes on his loving, kind personality to his piglets. Axle loves his girls and can be found building them a bed out of sticks and straw. He never tires of doting over them. He loves sticks and carries any that fall into his enclosure into his stall for the elaborate beds that he builds.

Loretta Lynn

Date of Birth: September 2, 2016

Loretta Lynn is the sweetest pig on our farm. She hates confrontation and lets all the other pigs be her leader. She is very small but that doesn't affect piglet sizes. They grow to be larger than she is. She is a fantastic, calm mother. Loretta Lynn has a strong bond with us and comes when she is called. Her favorite thing to do is graze on a sunny, warm day. Her spots and gentle nature make her a quick favorite with visitors.
